Was there ever a time where you couldn’t even smell a joint without passing out for hours? Same here. Imagine being that person: every time you get high, you pass out on the couch, and now that room is closed for the foreseeable future.

That goes for coffee, ibuprofen, sugar, or even daily exercise. Your mind and body will literally crave it, and after a couple days, the “zero-THC” life may have you feeling like “Okay…what if I just smoked… a baby bowl?”
You won’t feel any physical pain, but you will absolutely start to think longingly about smoking. After about a week or two, the feeling will subside- but those first 14 days can be a bit tough.

Tell Your Friends About Your Break
Make it a point to tell the friends you usually smoke with that you’re abstaining.
If they’re really your friends, they’ll support this hiatus and be cool hanging out with you, even if you’re not joining in on their smoke sesh.
After two weeks, it’s a lot easier to not smoke when alone, but kicking it with the gang is when your resolve will be tested.
You could even suggest a new group-hang-hobby, like mixing cocktails, mocktails or trying a new appetizer recipe together!

- Incorporate working-out or walking into your daily routing
- Spend time with friends and family
- Make sure to get 8-10 hours of sleep
- Try an aromatherapy spray to help ease your mind, if you’re having trouble sleeping
- Increase your intake of nutrient-dense foods
- Drink more water, like- 8 glasses a day!
Cannabis tolerance breaks are generally a mild experience. Maintaining an active lifestyle and setting aside plenty of time to enjoy relaxing activities can definitely help make this process easier for you.
In the end, you’ll find that if you have the discipline to take a cannabis tolerance break, that discipline will apply to other parts of your life as well.
There’s going to be times where you’re tempted to quit your cannabis tolerance break, but make a promise to yourself that you just won’t smoke.
